At Byron Bay Tipi Weddings, we are head over heels in love with outdoor wedding celebrations – and why not, Byron Bay is one of Australia"s the leading Destination Wedding locations. Couples love the unique relaxed atmosphere, the stunning beaches and hinterland and most importantly, as soon as you have finished the ceremony you are already on your honeymoon!
Tipi & Tent Weddings are our speciality, whether an intimate gathering by the beach or a grand celebration on a Macadamia Farm, a marquee wedding should be as individual as you are. In Byron Bay, we are excited to work alongside some incredibly creative, passionate & professional peeps, including venues, caterers & florists, who all share our high standard of service & attention to detail, and of course like to have fun along the way.
We discovered the Giant Tipis at the 2004 Glastonbury Music Festival in the UK and knew it was exactly what the wedding and event industry was missing; a unique and stunning alternative to the traditional marquee. In 2010, we founded SamiKata Tipi Events, the original Australian Nordic Tipi Company that was based in Sydney and travelled the entire East Coast of Australia creating high end, stylish weddings and events from Hamilton Island in North Queensland to Phillip Island in Southern Victoria, and everywhere else in between. After our 3 babies came along we knew that we had to put down some roots and was drawn to the incredibly beautiful, community-spirited and atmospheric Byron Bay. We had done a number of weddings in the area and knew that this was the place we’d like to raise our kids, call home and be a part of the fabulous wedding community.
With our combined wealth of experience in Tipi Weddings, we can now share our local knowledge of stunning venues and innovative vendors all around Byron Bay & Northern Rivers. Our continued inspiration is to deliver your dream wedding day while making unforgettable memories for life.
